A scrim or gauze is a very lightweight textile made from cotton, or other materials sometimes specified by the end user. It is normally lightweight and translucent, which means it is often used for making curtains. The fabric can also be used for many other applications such as filtration, bookbinding, diaphragms and upholstery.
The scrim normally has an open rectangular weave that is similar in size in its openings to a window screen. other weave patterns/constructions can be produced depending on the end use of the scrim. Various widths and lengths are available on request.
