Winding is the last process of ring spinning. Spinning yarn on corpses are being transferred onto cones. While winding yarn from the spinning corpses to cones the machine also is clearing the faults on the yarn like neps, slubs and thick and thin places to produce an even yarn. Even though this looks like a process that is only winding yarn from one package to another it is actually very important for the processes to follow as yarn could for instance cause fabric woven to have the following faults:

• Bad selvedge
• Broken ends or warp
• Broken picks or weft
• Loose Warp
• Loose weft or snarl
• Float of warp
